Solo Leveling season 2, episode 3, delivered plenty of interesting twists and was the first episode absent from the compilation movie. It opened with Sung Jin-woo meeting Yoo Jin-Ho, who had finished 19 raids and was now eligible to apply for the guild master role.

It all happened when Yoo Jin-Ho opened up to Sung Jin-woo about the struggles in his relationship with his older brother, expressing a desire for Sung Jin-woo to be his elder sibling.

Sung Jin-woo recognized that Yoo Jin-Ho was being truthful, partly because he was a little drunk. As their conversation concluded, Sung Jin-woo told him that he would consider him like a younger brother.

In season 2, episode 3 of Solo Leveling, the focus was on Sung Jin-woo as he chose to venture into a hellish dungeon in search of the Elixir of Life. His goal was to use the Elixir to save his mother, who was critically ill. He believed that the Elixir would heal her and help her return to her usual life.

Before he left, Sung Jin-woo informed Jin-ah that he would be away for a week. She guessed that he might be going with someone else. Following a close encounter with the Cerebrus, Sung Jin-woo recognized the need to gather more rations and level up, ensuring he wouldn’t be overpowered by the dungeon’s other monsters.

Sung Jin-woo’s initial goal was to collect 10,000 demon souls. While it seemed like a straightforward task at first, the process of defeating so many demons quickly became both physically and mentally exhausting. To ease the burden, he decided to enlist the help of his shadow soldiers, including Tank, the leader of the ice bears.

On the 50th floor, Sung Jin-woo faced a formidable opponent: the Avaricious Vulcan. Towering over him and others, the beast was unexpectedly quick, its swift movements catching the hero by surprise despite its massive size.

It all happened when Sung Jin-woo cleverly trapped the Avaricious Vulcan, delivering a quick and powerful blow to end the fight. After his victory, he received the World Tree Fragment, which was described as:

  • Wood from Vulcan’s club, refined and made from a branch taken from the World Tree

Sung Jin-woo encountered Metus, the soul guide, on the 75th floor. The fight was uncomplicated, and he quickly secured the win. Afterward, he was awarded Spring Water, a necessary ingredient for the Elixir of Life.

Sung Jin-woo also acquired two pieces of a special set. But, running low on supplies, he chose to head home. On his way back, he realized that he only needed to defeat one more monster to secure the last ingredient for the Elixir of Life.
