Arcane and Fallout are currently the leading contenders, based on strong viewer engagement and positive critical reception, particularly on Rotten Tomatoes.
Netflix’s Arcane, an animated series inspired by League of Legends, is currently in the midst of its second and final season, which has garnered a flawless 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series continues to captivate audiences with its stunning animation and compelling storytelling.
On the other hand, Fallout, which launched earlier this year on Prime Video, adapts Bethesda’s well-known post-apocalyptic action RPG.
It’s been celebrated for staying true to the games’ world and tone while introducing its own unique narrative, earning a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes and reaching over 100 million viewers on Prime Video. Both series also feature Ella Purnell in prominent roles.
Among the nominees for Best Adaptation at The Game Awards 2024 are Knuckles, a spin-off from Sonic the Hedgehog featuring Idris Elba’s character alongside a well-meaning police officer.
This series, which boasts a 75% Rotten Tomatoes score, became Paramount+’s top original show.
