In Short:
- A Riot co-founder has reconsidered their earlier comments regarding the return of Arcane skins to Fortnite.
- Initially, the skins were described as a one-time release for Arcane’s debut.
- Following backlash, the co-founder indicated they would review the possibility of bringing the skins back.
- Despite this, the likelihood of the skins returning remains low
The return of rare skins to Fortnite has sparked much discussion this holiday season, particularly after Master Chief reappeared in the store on December 23.
This has led players to wonder when even rarer crossover skins might return, especially those from the Gaming Legends Series alongside the Halo hero. For Arcane fans, there’s a slight hope that some skins could make a comeback.
It all happened on December 25 when Fortnite leaker Shiina (via Bamplbee2) delivered an unwelcome holiday surprise to fans, sharing Vi and Jinx’s skins might not make a comeback.
It was finally clarified that the decision to keep Vi and Jinx’s Fortnite skins exclusive to the launch of Arcane’s first season was made by the show’s creators. They have not seen a reason to bring them back.
The conclusion of Arcane’s second season along with the continued vaulting of Vi and Jinx’s skins during the season two update, it seemed likely that these skins might be some of the first to be permanently retired from Fortnite.
After seeing Shiina’s viral post, the Riot executive who made those original comments has now given fans a chance of seeing the Arcane crossover skins return to Fortnite.
Jinx and Vi’s Fortnite Return Is Unlikely, But Not Impossible
THE FORTNITE ARCANE SKINS MIGHT NEVER RETURN AGAIN 💀
A Co-Founder of Riot Games was asked about a possible return and replied with this:
"It's on us (that they don't return). We only did it for the original launch of Arcane."

Arcane Season 2 Episode 6 Review
It was further revealed by Arcane co-founder “I’ll talk to the team about the Arcane skins, but I’m not sure what can be done.” This comes 1,056 days since Vi and Jinx were last available for purchase in Fortnite’s in-game store.
Cosmetic items in Fortnite are often rotated, with some making occasional returns. Vi and Jinx were last available almost three years ago, and it’s unclear whether they’ll ever be brought back.
NEW HOPE FOR ARCANE IN FORTNITE 🔥
After my tweet went somewhat viral, the Riot Games Co-Founder has commented on the situation once again:
"I will talk to the team about Arcane skins in Fortnite, not sure what we can do if anything, but I will look into it."

Arcane Might Have Been Better Suited As An Art Exhibit
It looks like there is still a chance for the skins to return, even without a new Arcane release. For example, Master Chief’s return was a surprise during the holidays, with no major Halo event tied to it.
Riot’s comment about the potential permanent removal of crossover skins could leave fans of other franchises concerned.
Many had hoped that, following Master Chief’s return, Kratos would make his own comeback, given that both have been absent from the Fortnite store for a similar period.
If, similar to Arcane, the decision for Kratos’ return depends on the developers of God of War, his skin could remain locked away for good.
