PS5 Pro Announces Release Date With Huge Price Tag

As per gamerant.com, the PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro) is scheduled to debut on November 7, with a price tag of $699.99. Speculation surrounding a PS5 Pro has been ongoing for years, as many expected Sony to replicate the success it had with the PS4 Pro in the last generation.

Insiders have long stated that the PlayStation 5 Pro was inevitable, and Sony has now officially confirmed those claims. In a presentation led by PlayStation 5 architect Mark Cerny, the full details of the PS5 Pro have been disclosed.

It was all set to launch on November 7 for $699.99, is a disc-less console that nearly doubles the power of the original PS5. Its major selling point is that players won’t need to choose between fidelity and performance anymore.

Gamers can now experience 60 frames per second at the high resolution typical of graphics mode.

This performance is enabled by its enhanced GPU, which provides 45% faster rendering, ray tracing that is up to three times quicker than the current PS5, and AI-driven upscaling through the new PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.

Launching from September 26, pre-orders will be available via PlayStation Direct and select retailers. An Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive will also be offered, but the cost for this additional accessory has not been revealed yet.

PlayStation basically supporters can expect enhanced versions of major first-party games on the PS5 Pro, with titles like The Last of Us Part 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Demon’s Souls remake Remastered featured during the ceremony.
