Marvel Rivals Unveils Balancing Updates for Season 1

NetEase Games has unveiled a developer update highlighting the balancing changes set for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals.

The new season will see Dracula take center stage as the main villain and will bring The Fantastic Four into the growing roster.

The new season of Marvel Rivals will kick off with the introduction of Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman, thanks to NetEase Games. Each season will span about three months, with The Thing and Human Torch expected to join the game around 7 weeks.

The game developers have revealed that Mister Fantastic will be a duelist. The Invisible Woman will serve as a strategist. Alongside these iconic Fantastic Four characters, the Baxter Building will also be featured as a significant location.

In the third episode of their Dev Vision video series, Marvel Rivals revealed that the introduction of The Fantastic Four will bring new maps, a fresh game mode, and an updated battle pass for players to enjoy.

It’s quite obvious that battle pass will feature 10 new skins and cost 990 Lattice, with players earning 600 Lattice and 600 Units as they complete it. Additionally, the new Doom Match game mode will be set on the Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum map.

The new arcade mode features 8-12 players competing across the map, with the top 50% of participants winning by the end of the match.

Marvel Rivals Reveals Balancing Tweaks for Venom, Hawkeye, Wolverine, & More

In Marvel Rivals, Wolverine and Storm will receive buffs to make them more effective in specific strategies.

There had been previous calls from players for either buffs or full reworks of these legendary heroes, with some even suggesting Wolverine should be transformed into a Vanguard.

The developers are enhancing Cloak and Dagger to improve their synergy with different team compositions.

They also plan to tweak Jeff the Land Shark in Marvel Rivals, responding to player feedback that his early warning signals don’t align with the actual hitbox of his ultimate move.

Although some players have raised concerns about Jeff’s ultimate ability being too strong, NetEase Games has yet to announce any significant changes.

While NetEase Games has yet to comment on the Seasonal Bonus feature in Marvel Rivals, many fans are speculating that certain heroes will lose their bonuses while others will gain new ones.

The present feature has stirred some controversy, as many players feel it negatively affects the game’s balance.

Still, Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is packed with new content and updates, and anticipation for its launch is high among the player base.
