In Short:
- Marvel Rivals Fans Eager for the Revival of Missing Beta Skins
- Players looking for the Return of Spider-Punk 2099 and Venom’s Cyan Clash
- Beta players who unlocked Cyan Clash were able to keep it, but Spider-Punk and other beta skins were removed after the beta phase concluded
NetEase quickly realized the success of Marvel Rivals during its beta last summer, when over 50,000 players took part in the invite-only test on the very first day.
Betas usually focus on fixing issues before the full release, but players are now hoping to see the exclusive skins from the Rivals test make a return.
Marvel Fans Demand Epic Return of Cyan Venom & Spider-Punk In Marvel Rivals
There are a few kins from the Marvel Rivals beta who have yet to return in the full release. RivalSkins posted screenshots on Twitter showcasing four of these, including the Spider-Punk 2099, which many players might not have seen previously.
These skins are not up for purchase or unlock, and even those who obtained them during the beta weren’t able to store them at the time of their release.
Some exceptions apply to players who participated in both the Rivals beta and the closed alpha. Alpha testers were granted the Moonlit Witch skin for Scarlet Witch, and those who reached level 30 in the beta were given the Cyan Clash Venom skin, which they were able to keep after the game’s last month release.

As the Moonlit Witch skin is a popular choice, players seem to be most excited about the possible return of Cyan Venom and Spider-Punk 2099.
Responses to posts longing for these skins are notably optimistic, with players convinced they’ll eventually return, either through the exclusive battle pass or available for purchase in the store.

If you are hoping to see these skins in season one’s battle pass have been disappointed. While the battle pass is packed with rewards, none of the skins from the beta are included. Still, I’m staying hopeful for their eventual return.
Those designs took a lot of work, so not making them permanent in the game would be a missed opportunity. It’s also a great chance to utilize an already-completed design for a battle pass slot instead of developing something entirely new.
With season one of Marvel Rivals now live, we can expect to uncover more details about the game in the coming days. Key updates include whether Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are worth your time, as well as nerfs to Hawkeye and Hela. Also, Jeff’s Ultimate should now be easier to dodge.
