Blood of the Dawnwalker was introduced last week, developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio consisting of industry veterans, many of whom previously worked on The Witcher 3.
The game’s director is the same as The Witcher 3’s, and there is strong involvement from CD Projekt Red developers, with both teams working closely together.
Since the announcement, Rebel Wolves has continued to unveil more about Blood of the Dawnwalker, giving glimpses into the studio’s history and development journey while also revealing further details about the game itself.
In an FAQ released on the game’s official server (credit to MP1st), new details were shared about the magic system, romance possibilities, and the storyline of Blood of the Dawnwalker.
Blood of the Dawnwalker Will Offer “Less Flashy” Magic and Romance Choices
While the FAQ answered various questions, one of the most compelling details shared was the approach to magic in the game.
Although the game’s reveal trailer featured some dramatic moments, it has been stated that the magic in Blood of the Dawnwalker will be “more understated” compared to other fantasy games, centered around the occult. Fireballs and lightning bolts won’t be part of the experience.
It has been confirmed that the game will feature a main protagonist, meaning custom character creation won’t be available. However, there will be romanceable characters for you to connect with and build relationships with.
Although Rebel Wolves hasn’t revealed much about these characters, they have promised to provide more details as the release date nears.
With many developers from The Witcher 3 behind Blood of the Dawnwalker, it would be surprising if romance options weren’t included.
