8. Choi Jong-In
Choi Jong-In heads the Hunters Guild, the largest and most influential guild in South Korea. With two S-Rank hunters, a wealth of A-Rank hunters, and numerous B-Rank hunters, the guild is the only one in the country to possess as many as two Strike Squads.
Choi Jong-In, the head of the Hunters Guild, is an S-Rank fire mage who excels in wide-area attacks. In Season 2, he’ll demonstrate some of his fiery abilities, though his full potential won’t be revealed just yet.
7. Hwang Dongsoo
Hwang Dongsoo, is basically an S-Rank Hunter from Korea, decided to align himself with the renowned Scavenger Guild in the U.S. His choice sparked a wave of criticism in Korea.
Hwang Dongsoo is a proud and hot-headed man who is fully aware of his power. He has no hesitation in using it to intimidate or threaten those around him.
Hwang Hwang Dongsuk,who’s better known as the merciless figure that Jinwoo took down in the dungeon during the first season. In Season 2, Hwang Dongsoo’s primary objective is to hunt down Sung Jinwoo, seeking vengeance for his brother’s death.
6. Baek Yoonho
Baek Yoonho happens to be a hunter along with the leader of South Korea’s second-largest guild, called White Tiger Guild. As a formidable fighter, he has the ability to transform into a powerful white beast.
Baek Yoonho’s transformation occurs over time, with his strength increasing as he approaches the complete form of the White Beast.
Baek Yoonho won’t fully showcase his abilities in Season 2 in the same way as Choi Jong-I. His role is primarily focused on his position as Guild Master, to recruit Sung Jinwoo.
5. Cha Hae-In
Cha Hae-In is basically the Hunters Guild’s vice guild master. While she’s among the youngest S-Rank hunters globally, she ranks as one of the top three most powerful South Korean S-Rank hunters.
There’s basically a debate that Cha Hae-In could be stronger than her guild master, Choi Jong-In. However, as a swordplay specialist, her style contrasts with Choi Jong-In’s heavy-hitting approach, making it challenging to compare their strengths directly.
Cha Hae-In is expected to make her debut around the same time as Choi Jong-In, but unlike him, her interest in Sung Jinwoo goes beyond his identity as a hunter—she’s more intrigued by him as an individual.
4. Cha Hae-In
Go Gunhee, falls in the category of an S-Rank hunter It’s one of the oldest S-Rank hunters, being in his 80s. However, his age doesn’t diminish his strength; his towering stature and muscular, wrestler-like build still make him an intimidating figure.
Even if Go Gunhee remains an S-Rank hunter, he doesn’t participate in frontline battles. Instead, his role is focused on mentoring and overseeing the numerous active hunters in South Korea. He’s the first to sense the strength of Sung Jinwoo.
3. Baran & the Dungeon Bosses
While we’ve discussed the heroes so far, it’s now time to focus on the villains who will play a major role in Season 2. So, who will be Jinwoo’s main foe in this season? The answer is undoubtedly the dungeon monsters.
Season 2 will introduce a diverse range of powerful and deadly dungeon bosses. One of these is Baruka, the Ice Elf who controls the frosty terrain of the Red Dungeon and fights with Ice Daggers. Another formidable foe is Vulcan, the boss of the 50th floor in the Demon Castle, known for its immense size and impressive speed despite its bulk.
2. Igris and the Shadow Soldiers
Solo Leveling basically follows the journey of Sung Jinwoo as he strives to enhance his abilities by taking on dungeons and defeating monsters. The narrative primarily focuses on his personal evolution and challenges as he rises in power.
Igriss, the Red Knight, becomes Jinwoo’s first true Shadow Soldier. In season 2, Igriss plays a much larger role as Jinwoo faces increasingly perilous dungeon challenges.
Jinwoo’s Shadow Soldier army will grow even stronger in season 2, with powerful additions such as Iron the Warrior, Tank the Mad Beast, and Tusk the Fearsome Mage. Their adventures alongside the Monarch of Shadows are sure to stand out as one of the season’s most exciting moments.

As anticipated, the character in Solo Leveling’s second season happens to be the protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, who’s on track to become Korea’s 10th S-Rank Hunter.
